Ladies, get your guns and join Packing Pretty™ and Girls Guide to Guns™ for a women’s weekend full of firearms and fun!

November is the season for pumpkins, hot apple cider, and turkey feasts. It’s also the season for what can be a dangerous endeavor not only on your wallet but on your health – holiday shopping.  Consider this a little pre-holiday stress “group therapy” (pun intended).

This is your chance to meet, shoot with, and learn from seasoned NRA Certified instructor Gracie from Packing Pretty™ ; as well as Natalie from Girls Guide to Guns™.

Start the weekend off with our hands-on NRA Basic Pistol Course for women. Learn the fundamentals of pistol shooting and firearm ownership while building confidence, skill, and friendships. This is a great way to introduce yourself to the world of shooting. Whether you’re a first timer, or a basic to intermediate shooter, you are sure to walk away from this class confident, empowered, and ready further pursue your life as shooter.

End the weekend on a fun and feminine note with Ladies’ Day at the range. This is a great opportunity to practice what you learned in class the day before, and meet even more women who share the same interests as you.

NRA BASIC PISTOL COURSE

Women Only (14 years and older)

8AM -5PM
Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time, learning how to shoot your pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two-handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; shopping for a firearm; and continued opportunities for skill development.
This course is ideal for:  a woman who has never touched a gun to the basic or intermediate shooter – there is always something new to learn.
What you need to bring:
  • A Semi-automatic or revolver handgun ( a limited quantity of loaners will be available for those who don’t have one)
  • Ammunition for your handgun
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Pen or pencil for taking notes
Students will receive these items to take home ( up to $300+ value)

LADIES’ RANGE DAY

Bring your favorite firearms, and as much factory loaded ammunition as you can because us ladies are taking over the range. Meet Packing Pretty™ and Girls Guide to Guns and practice the fundamentals of shooting while showing off your favorite gear.
No firearm? No problem! We’ve got a handful of firearms for you to try out. This is a great opportunity to try out shooting for the first time,  and to meet other women who share the same interest.
Special guests for Ladies’ Day:
Championship high power shooter Anette Wachter of 30Cal Gal
Executive Editor for Western Shooting Journal, Shelley Rae.
 For your own safety, please refrain from wearing open toed shoes or low-cut shirts.
What you need to bring:
  • Firearms (rifles, shotguns and handguns all allowed. Please note that all rifles, shotguns, and some handguns will have to be shot outside)
  • Factory loaded ammunition for your firearms (reloaded ammunition will not be allowed on the range).
  • Eye protection
  • Ear protection
  • Any other accessories you may need: magazines, speed loaders, etc.
  • Money for ammunition should you choose to demo some of the firearms provided.

Where is Clatskanie? 

Clatskanie is tiny town conveniently located about halfway between Olympia, WA and Portland, OR. Clatskanie is easily accessible (by way of Longview) from both I-5 heading North, and I-5 heading South.

Want to stay in town for both events? The Clatskanie River Inn  is only five minuets from Clatskanie Rifle & Pistol Club, and prices start at $79/night for a suite with a view of the Clatskanie river.
